Newsletter:  Happy New Year!

God is great, all the time!!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

2020 is finally coming to an end. We made our plans at Shiloh and it had all the makings of what we thought would be a really great year. But remember that God directs our steps. He had a very different year for us.

Instead of thousands of kids at camp He chose a few special ones and drew them close to His heart. Instead of hiring more staff, He decided fewer were better and we got really close. Instead of an abundance of cash flow, He decided we could do more with less. Instead of running exhausted to meet all the needs of a busy retreat and camp life, He decided for us to work efficiently on one building project and see it to completion. Instead of shallow relationships with many, He taught us how to grow deep with our community, friends, co-workers, family and most of all Himself. He taught us to be still and know that He is God and it’s all under His control.

So yes this has been, with all of its difficulties and heartaches and loss of our expectations, a really great year. May we never forget the lessons we learned. By slowing down and building deeper relationships with all those we love, especially our Savior, whose season it now is, we look forward to 2021 now, we hope, for all the right reasons. Thank you with all our heart for praying, giving and supporting us in so many special ways. I praise God that all of our family has been well and our friends, board, and staff also.

This is my constant prayer. Sandy and I have enjoyed some great times with our eight children and ten grandchildren. We’ve been blessed with great sons and daughters and in-laws and their families as well. We serve a great God who is doing great things in spite of all the negativity. So let’s hold our heads high and worship Him together all year in 2021 for He is a great God and worthy of praise.

Truly blessed,
Your Director – Jon Frank

This is the first year in Shiloh history that we have ended in the RED. Should God put it on your heart to give in this season, first to His church and perhaps to Shiloh.

Thank you for your consideration in this season of giving

Wait! Before you go, one last thing! One of my favorite things is experiencing the peace at Shiloh after a snowstorm. But even that is only a reflection of the truest and fullest peace that only Jesus brings.
Check out our new
video and may the Prince of Peace be with you throughout this season!

Dear Friends of Camp Shiloh,
As we approach the conclusion of 2020 we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for all of your prayer and support this year.

While our year, I’m sure like yours, has not gone according to plan, we are grateful for God’s faithfulness in providing all of our needs and for the opportunities he gave us to share and show the love of Jesus. Our year was highlighted by the fullest 1st quarter in the history of Shiloh, opportunities to provide food for those financially impacted by COVD-19 & shelter for those on the front lines, hosting 300+ urban children from Inspire Sports Camp, and the near completion of our Indoor Pool Building. We encourage you to watch this 2-minute drone video put together by friends of Shiloh. It shows our updated campus and is a beautiful picture of God’s grace in providing us a beautiful campus to do ministry.

To the churches and nonprofits we normally host and serve, please know we are thinking of and praying for you and ready to host you whenever and however you want. Call us to discuss retreats, day trips, nights out and other opportunities. To our friends and supporters, once again thank you for your prayers and support during this challenging time. If you’d like to make a year-end donation to help us finish our pool building and prepare for the Spring we would greatly appreciate it.

Merry Christmas!
The Family & Team at Camp Shiloh

Newsletter:  Fall  Camp Tours                (event postponed!)

Dear Friend of Shiloh,
We want to invite you to come to Camp Shiloh for our upcoming Camp Tour on Saturday, November 7th or Sunday, November 8th. We encourage you to sign up for a one-hour tour (11 different options available from 10:00AM - 4:00PM) to see, hear, and experience all God has done and is doing at the camp. This fundraising event is in place of our biennial banquet and will give you the opportunity to see the exciting progress of our campus, including our nearly completed indoor pool. Each one-hour time slot will host up to 25 people going through an interactive and guided tour, including refreshments and featuring Camp Shiloh’s staff. Due to the season we're in, this year all guests must RSVP in order to attend our event, as we need to monitor the number of guests per time slot. While we often minister to and care deeply for children and teenagers, this event is geared toward adults. More on this upcoming event in a just a bit.

Like most others, Camp Shiloh has been hit hard by the impact of COVID-19. Because of parents' understandable concern to send their kids to camp and many churches focused on finding creative ways to meet together, we have seen our number of campers and groups drop significantly. But we have remained open and continued to serve God and others in a myriad of ways during this challenging time. We partnered with the Highland Family Success Center to cook and deliver meals for those in our community who were in need. We opened up our lodging facility for 1st responders and essential workers who needed a place to stay. And we were able to host multiple groups including several hundred inner-city students for multiple days of camp through Inspire Sports Camp. We have also continued to improve our facility with our primary focus on completing our Indoor Pool. We are patiently waiting and prayerfully anticipating more opportunities for God to use Camp Shiloh to change and impact lives.

While we have lost close to $250,000 of potential revenue over the last 6 months, we have seen God remain faithful in meeting and supplying all of our needs. We would love the opportunity to share and show you all that God has done and is continuing to do in us and through us. He is growing our faith and causing us to trust and follow Him in greater ways every day. We hope to see you November 7th or 8th. Please feel welcome to invite friends who you think may want to see and hear more about Camp Shiloh.

Dear Youth Pastors, Church Leaders, & Friends,

We know this has been a long & hard season for you. We have missed seeing many of you & providing a place where your group can experience & grow in their relationship with God. Our staff has been & will continue to pray for you as you do ministry during this challenging time.

Although we’ve remained open, our ministry at Shiloh has also been significantly impacted by COVID-19. We have continued to trust God & he has supplied all of our needs. We’ve been able to provide meals for those in need in our community & temporary housing for 1st responders. The slower schedule has also given us opportunity to work on camp updates including nearing the completion of our Indoor Pool (scheduled to be open & available in the new year).

Like the rest of the world, we, at Camp Shiloh, have needed to make changes that help to keep both our guests and staff safe. You can go to www.campshiloh.com/covid-19 to read about all the changes we have implemented with your safety & well-being in mind. Camp Shiloh is committed to the health and safety of all our guests. Please know that our team is taking this seriously & we are monitoring this situation closely.

In conclusion, YES we are OPEN! Please let us know how we can continue to serve you & help you plan your next retreat. If your group is not ready for an overnight retreat we would love to partner with you in setting up a day trip or night-out experience. Camp Shiloh has & will continue to help you create a special personalized trip geared specifically toward your group.
