Newsletter: SUMMER 2025 RECAP

1/1/2026

Hello Friends, Family & Partners,
As we look back on Summer 2025, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for all the Lord has done here at camp. Each week, each retreat, and each young person who stepped onto Camp Shiloh was part of a story that only God could write. We want to share with you some of the highlights, blessings, and exciting updates from this season.

NEW DIRECTORS
It is our great and overdue privilege to introduce our new Directors, Jessica and Corey,  who have been doing an amazing job. Jessica who you all know has been at Shiloh for over 25 years, filling every position and is the glue that holds everything together both here and at home. Corey has filled a hole in our leadership team, living on site, ministering to our staff and guests. With this teams capable leadership our Founder, Jon,  can finally rest and know that the future of Shiloh is in good hands.

WELCOME NEW STAFF MEMBERS
This was a very special year as we welcomed Alex and Roma to Shiloh for their very first summer with us. They jumped right in, serving faithfully, leading with grace, and showing their love for the Lord in everything they did. It’s not easy to step into camp life during our busiest season, but Alex and Roma did an incredible job and were such a blessing to our staff, campers, and groups. We also celebrated the arrival of Vivian, whose baking skills have been a great addition to our kitchen.

A SUMMER FILLED WITH YOUTH
It’s hard to capture in words just how full and vibrant this summer was. Aside from just a handful of days, there were youth and young adults on the grounds every single day. Many of our groups came with more students than ever before, and we have watched as the Lord has evidently been stirring something powerful in this next generation.
Imagine walking outside in the evening and hearing 100 voices lifted in worship, sometimes in English, sometimes in Spanish, sometimes in other languages but all united in praising the same God. Night after night, the sound of worship filled the camp, and you could feel the presence of the Lord moving.
This summer was filled with the moments that make camp unforgettable:
  • Color wars and team-building games that built friendships and laughter.
  • All-nighters that left everyone tired but full of joy.
  • Spontaneous baptisms in the pool, where students declared their faith publicly in front of their peers.
  • Breakthroughs in prayer and worship, where walls came down and hearts were opened.
And so many first-time retreat experiences, as new campers stepped foot on Shiloh grounds and encountered God in a fresh way.

While much of the spotlight naturally falls on the students, we cannot say enough about the incredible youth leaders who brought their groups to Shiloh this summer. These men and women are pouring themselves out week after week planning retreats, raising funds, organizing transportation, and then walking alongside their students through late nights, long days, and life-changing moments.
We watched them lead with wisdom, creativity, and patience. We saw them praying over students, leading worship, joining in games, staying up late to listen and talk, and modeling what it means to follow Christ. Their impact is immeasurable.
So many of the breakthroughs we witnessed, the baptisms, the late-night conversations, the commitments to Christ happened because of the foundation these youth leaders laid before they ever arrived at camp. Their faithfulness and hard work made this summer what it was. We are honored to partner with such gifted, dedicated, and Spirit-led leaders, and we thank the Lord for the way He is using them to raise up the next generation.

RECENT UPDATES
Thanks to the hard work of our staff, volunteers, and supporters, we were able to complete several upgrades that will bless campers for years to come:
  • A new bridge across the pond, upgrading a very popular location for many group photos.
  • A brand-new fire pit behind the Fort, which has already been the center of many late-night gatherings, songs, and conversations.
  • The installation of our new double zipline, which has quickly become one of the most exciting adventures at camp! Watching the joy on kids’ faces as they fly through the air is a reminder of why we work so hard to provide safe, fun, and memorable experiences.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
We are thrilled to announce Shiloh’s 40-Year Anniversary Banquet 2026, at The Brownstone on March 12th at 6:30pm. “SAVE THE FORT”
Looking ahead to 2026, we will begin the long-awaited remodel of our beloved Fort. Phase One includes converting our barn into temporary lodging so construction can move forward smoothly. Architectural plans are currently being drawn, and we are excited to create a refreshed, functional space for every group that comes through our doors.
The Fort holds a special place in Shiloh’s history. It was the very first building constructed on camp property (besides the main house). Rather than tearing it down, we are committed to preserving its legacy as we “SAVE THE FORT.”
If God leads you to give toward this project, simply write “SAVE THE FORT” in the notes of your gift. Every dollar will go directly toward rebuilding a space that will bless campers and guests for generations as they encounter Jesus here at Shiloh Bible Camp

All Our Love,
The Shiloh Staff
